  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, honey, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and smoked paprika. Set aside.
  3. Pat chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken breasts for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown but not cooked through.
  5. Transfer seared chicken breasts to an oven-safe baking dish, placing them side by side.
  6. Sprinkle chopped cooked bacon evenly over the chicken.
  7. Spoon the honey mustard sauce over each piece, coating well.
  8. Generously sprinkle shredded cheese on top of the sauced chicken and bacon.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  10. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes after baking to lock in juices.
