  • ¼ cup cooked and crumbled bacon bits (optional, about 30 grams)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Chopped fresh parsley or chives for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat for about 30 minutes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, soften the cream cheese by stirring until smooth. Add garlic powder and onion powder and mix well.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a 12-inch circle. If it resists stretching, let it rest for 5 minutes and try again.
  4. Transfer the dough to a pizza peel dusted with flour or cornmeal if using a stone, or directly onto a lined baking sheet.
  5. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough, leaving about a 1-inch border around the edges.
  6. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and sharp cheddar evenly over the cream cheese layer.
  7. Scatter sliced jalapenos and crumbled bacon bits over the cheese layer.
  8. Brush the edges of the dough with olive oil to encourage browning.
  9. Bake the pizza on the heated stone or baking sheet for 12-15 minutes, until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly and slightly browned. Watch closely after 10 minutes to avoid burning jalapenos.
  10. Remove the pizza from the oven and sprinkle with chopped parsley or chives. Let rest for 2-3 minutes before slicing and serving.
