A refreshing, creamy limeade made with fresh limes and sweetened condensed milk, ready in just 5 minutes. Perfect for hot summer days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 45 medium limes
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 3 cups cold water
  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • 12 tablespoons sugar (optional)
  • 1 tiny pinch salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash the limes thoroughly under warm water to remove any wax or dirt. Dry them with a towel.
  2. Cut off the ends of each lime, then slice each lime into 8 wedges.
  3. Add the lime wedges to a blender along with 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk, 3 cups cold water, and a tiny pinch of salt (optional).
  4. Blend on high for 30-45 seconds until the limes are completely broken down and the mixture is frothy and pale green.
  5. Place a fine-mesh strainer over a large pitcher or bowl. Pour the blended mixture through the strainer, using a spatula to press down on the solids. Discard the solids.
  6. Stir the limeade and adjust sweetness if needed. If too tart, add a tablespoon of sugar or more condensed milk.
  7. Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the limeade over the top. Serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, use fresh limes and wash them well. Do not over-blend to avoid bitterness. Strain thoroughly. Can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 2 days. Add ice just before serving.
