This creamy berry green smoothie is quick, easy, and tastes like a treat while being packed with good-for-you ingredients. It’s the perfect breakfast or post-workout boost that even picky eaters love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, or a blend)
  • 1 large ripe banana (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 cups fresh spinach (packed tightly)
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt (dairy-free if needed)
  • 1 cup milk of choice (dairy, almond, oat, or coconut)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds or flax seeds (optional)
  • Ice cubes (optional, for extra thickness)

Instructions

  1. Prep your ingredients: Peel the banana and slice into chunks. Measure out frozen berries and spinach.
  2. Add the liquid first: Pour 1 cup of milk into the blender.
  3. Add the greens: Toss in 2 cups of fresh spinach.
  4. Add the yogurt and banana: Spoon in 1/2 cup Greek yogurt and add banana chunks.
  5. Add the frozen berries: Pour in 1 cup of frozen mixed berries.
  6. Add optional extras: If using, add honey, maple syrup, or chia seeds.
  7. Blend on low, then high: Start on low for 10 seconds, then high for 30-45 seconds until smooth.
  8. Check the consistency: If too thick, add more milk; if too thin, add ice or more frozen berries.
  9. Scrape down the sides: Use a spatula to scrape down any bits, then blend for another 10 seconds.
  10. Taste and adjust: Add more sweetener or a squeeze of lemon if desired.
  11. Serve immediately: Pour into a glass and enjoy.

Notes

For best texture, use frozen berries. Don’t skip the banana—it adds natural sweetness and creaminess. If your blender is weak, blend greens and liquid first before adding frozen fruit. Over-blending can make the smoothie frothy.
