These Easy Ham and Cheese Breakfast Sliders are quick, simple, and absolutely delicious. Made with soft Hawaiian rolls, salty ham, melted Swiss and cheddar cheese, and a buttery, savory topping, they are perfect for breakfast, brunch, game day, or a late-night snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (12-count) Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 1/2 pound deli ham, thinly sliced
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese
  • 6 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Pinch of salt and black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or nonstick cooking spray.
  3. Slice the rolls in half horizontally, keeping them connected in one slab.
  4. Place the bottom half of the rolls in the prepared baking dish.
  5. Evenly distribute the sliced ham over the bottom rolls.
  6. Lay the Swiss cheese slices over the ham, then add the cheddar slices on top.
  7. Place the top half of the rolls over the cheese and press down gently.
  8. In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, Dijon mustard, poppy seeds, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  9. Generously brush the butter mixture over the tops of the rolls.
  10. Cover the dish loosely with aluminum foil and bake for 10 minutes.
  11. Remove the foil and bake for another 8-10 minutes, until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  12. Let the sliders rest for 2-3 minutes before slicing between the rolls. Serve warm.

Notes

Keep the rolls connected for easiest assembly. Do not overstuff with ham and cheese. Let the butter topping soak in for 5 minutes before baking if time allows. Watch the oven closely during the last few minutes to prevent burning. For make-ahead, assemble completely but do not bake; refrigerate up to 24 hours, then brush with butter topping and bake as directed, adding 2-3 extra minutes.
