A fun and easy-to-make party shot with a magical shimmer, bright citrus flavor, and a sparkling fizz that turns any gathering into an unforgettable night.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz vodka (smooth and clean-flavored, e.g., Tito’s)
  • 1 oz blue curacao (for vibrant blue color and subtle orange flavor)
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup (homemade or store-bought)
  • 0.5 oz herbal liqueur (such as St-Germain or elderflower liqueur, optional)
  • 1 oz sparkling water (chilled)
  • A pinch of edible shimmer powder (optional but recommended)
  • Thin lemon twist or edible flower (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Chill your shot glasses by placing them in the freezer or filling with ice water for 5 minutes.
  2. Juice the lemons to get about 1 oz of fresh lemon juice per batch and strain out seeds.
  3. Add 2 oz vodka, 1 oz blue curacao, 1 oz lemon juice, 0.5 oz simple syrup, and 0.5 oz herbal liqueur (if using) into a cocktail shaker.
  4. Fill the shaker about halfway with ice cubes.
  5. Shake vigorously for 15 seconds until the shaker is cold to the touch.
  6. Strain the mixture into the chilled shot glasses, leaving about 0.5 oz space at the top.
  7. Gently pour 1 oz chilled sparkling water over the back of a spoon into each shot glass to create a fizz layer without mixing too much.
  8. Sprinkle a tiny pinch of edible shimmer powder on top of each shot.
  9. Garnish with a thin lemon twist or edible flower on the rim.
  10. Serve immediately for best fizz and sparkle.

Notes

Use fresh lemon juice for best flavor. Pour sparkling water over the back of a spoon to keep fizz and shimmer intact. A little shimmer powder goes a long way; too much can create a gritty texture. Pre-mix the base and add sparkling water and shimmer just before serving for best results. For non-alcoholic version, substitute vodka and liqueurs with citrus-flavored sparkling water and orange juice plus vanilla syrup.
